Call 999 in an emergency or if someone is in immediate danger.
Otherwise, report crimes to West Midlands Police by calling 101.
Safeguard the adult at risk, and contact Adult Social Care-

- Professionals may be asked to complete a PAN1 form
The consent of the adult should be sought for making a safeguarding alert whenever it is safe to do so and when the adult is able to give such consent.
If an adult discloses abuse or neglect, the following should be observed:
Listen to what is being said and accept as truth
Tell the adult at risk who will be informed and why.
Reassure the person that they are central to decisions, but do not make promises that may not be kept
Preserve evidence
If there are children who may be at risk contact the Police if there is an immediate risk, or
Access Service for children’s Social Care on 0121 569 3100 (this number is available outside normal office hours); Professionals may be asked to complete a Multi-Agency Referral Form (MARF)
