Sandwell Council launches community fund

Date: Thursday, 20th Aug 2020 | Category: Uncategorised

Sandwell Council has launched its Community Infrastructure Levy funding.

This funding has been created due to contributions developers make as part of the planning process and is available for community groups to bid for regarding projects within their local areas.

Councillor Danny Millard, cabinet member for Inclusive Economic Growth, said: “As part of our commitment to supporting the great work done by voluntary and community organisations across Sandwell, the council offers Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) grants.

“Any CIL funding applications we receive are open to a public consultation before a decision is made. Please go to the council’s consultation webpage and give your views on the latest applications.”

Sandwell Council Deputy Leader, Councillor Maria Crompton, added: “We want Sandwell to get the most out of this funding. So we need residents to tell us how best to spend it.”
